Recreational Classes

Kangaroo

This 45 minute introductory class is designed for 2 year olds who are eager to burn off energy and learn lots of gymnastics in a fun and structured setting! Students will work beginning skills on all events while building strength, coordination and confidence! Classes will work progressions that focus on rolls, swinging and upside-down skills on bars, walks and kicks on beam, and various jumps on tramp and springboards! It will also incorporate activities with hula hoops, ribbons, parachutes, and more. Class meets once a week.

Parents are encouraged to participate.

Tumblebear
This 45 minute introductory class is designed for ages 3-5 who are eager to burn off energy and learn lots of gymnastics in a fun and structured setting! Students will work beginning skills on all events while building strength, coordination and confidence! Classes will work progressions that focus on rolls, beginning handstands, swinging and upside-down skills on bars, walks and kicks on beam and various jumps on tramp and springboards! Class meets once a week.
 
Panda
This is a 1 hour intermediate class for ages 3-5 who have mastered the required skills in our Tumblebear class. Your little gymnast will continue to build their strength, coordination and confidence while progressing into more challenging gymnastics skills. This class will improve and build upon their Tumblebear skills while introducing them to new skills such as cartwheels, bridges, pullovers, and more! Class meets once a week.

 

Prerequisite: Student must test out of Tumblebear

 
Beginner

This is a 1 hour introductory class for ages 6 and up. Come burn off energy and learn lots of gymnastics in a fun and structured environment! Students will work basic skills on all events while building strength, coordination, flexibility, and confidence. A variety of skills will be taught such as rolls, back bends, cartwheels, pullovers, walks and jumps on beam, and beginning vault progressions. And that’s just a few of the exciting skills learned in this class! Class meets once a week.

 

Pre-requisite: New or returning beginner students 6 and up OR current students who have aged out of Tumblebear/Panda

 
Bronze

This 1 hour class is designed for ages 6 and up who have mastered the required skills from Beginner. These gymnasts will continue to build their strength, coordination, flexibility, and confidence while progressing into more challenging gymnastics skills. This class will improve and build upon their introductory skills from the previous class while introducing them to more advanced basics such as round offs, kickovers, back hip circles on bars, handstands on beam, and dive rolls on vault, just to name a few! Class meets once a week.

 

Prerequisite: Students who have tested out of Beginner

Silver

This class is a 2 hour intermediate class for ages 6 and up who have mastered the required skills in their Bronze class. Students will improve and build upon their introductory skills while introducing them to much more challenging skills such as leaps, walkovers, handsprings, and front salto progressions on floor and tramp. Bars will start squat ons, more advanced circling skills, and low bar swinging dismounts. Beam will focus on more upgraded handstand and dismounts, cartwheels, and dance elements. Vault will progress to flatbacks and progressions for vaulting over the vault table. Flexibility and more strength building will also be introduced. Class meets once a week.

Prerequisite: Students who have tested out of Bronze

Gold

This class is a 2 hour intermediate class for ages 6 and up who have mastered the required skills in their Silver class. Students will improve and build upon their introductory skills while introducing them to much more challenging skills such as leaps, walkovers, handsprings, and front and back salto progressions on floor and tramp. Bars will start more advanced circling skills, and transitions from low bar to high bar. Beam will focus on more upgraded handstand and dismounts, cartwheels, and dance elements. Vault will be vaulting over the vault table. Flexibility and more strength building will also be introduced. Class meets once a week.

 

Prerequisite: Students who have tested out of Silver
